Welcome, I’m glad you’re here.

I support teens, adults, families and couples in developing genuine insight leaning into curiosity, compassion and change.

About me

I’ve always been naturally curious about the invisible scripts we live by. You know the ones—the background loops that tell us how to react before we have a chance to think. They are the reason we end up in the same argument with a teenager or the same cycle of anxiety, even when we’re trying our absolute best to change.

I didn’t get into this work to be another therapist who sits and nods politely while you do all the heavy lifting. That’s just not how I’m wired. I’m here because I genuinely love the active, sometimes messy, process of figuring out why those scripts are running and how we write new ones.

My style is relaxed and candid, often leaning on humor and curiosity to bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be. Therapy should feel like a real conversation between two humans. I’m direct because I respect your time too much to dance around the truth. I know how much courage it takes to finally confront the patterns that aren’t serving you anymore.

I’ve spent over a decade in the mental health field, with the last seven years rooted right here in the San Luis Obispo community. My path hasn’t been a straight line in a quiet office; it’s been a deep dive into the real-world challenges facing local individuals and families. Whether I was helping parents untangle behavioral issues or working in outpatient programs for mental health and recovery, my goal has always been the same: finding out what actually works.

This decade of experience across diverse settings—from crisis work to long-term recovery—is what allows me to bring a direct, seasoned, and highly practical perspective to our sessions. I don't just offer theories; I offer a toolkit built from years of seeing what actually creates lasting, authentic change in the real world.

My approach

A rushing mountain river flowing between rocks and surrounded by lush green trees.
